TORMA HOUSE

my show experience

best rotteiler handler and judge branko torma torma house

I began training and participating in shows when I was sixteen years old. I can still appreciate its vast experience. I trained a number of dogs, but I simply taught them the basics of training; most of them had behavioral issues from their prior trainer or had poor temperance or drive genetically. A good dog is simple to train, but I find that a middle-class dog with flaws makes it work well in shows and produces outcomes that are quite remarkable.

Additionally own dogs with IPO 1 working titles and ZTP breeding tests behind me. Nonetheless, I can confidently state that my knowledge of dog training and displaying was extensive.

My Rottweiler judging criteria

Since obtaining my FCI judging license in 2015, I have only presided over a small number of national dog shows. I had planned to judge more in 2020, 2021 but Covid stop it.
Championship in Australia one of my biggest show judging and it was two days show.
Monday we had nice show training all together.
I don’t like the political establishment of judges, which is why I didn’t judge for a long time after these few shows.
I also requested a few shows in the USA, but I was not granted a visa.

IMPORTANT TO ME AS A JUDGE!

Rottweiler head must be typical or better still slightly over but dry!
Male head must look like a male and a female head must look like a female.

I am the one that truly looks at standards. regarding anatomy that ranks highest and there is no excuse.
A Rottweiler needs to be proportionate, simple to move, and synchronic. Any flaw such as bad top line, bad legs position that makes it difficult for the dog to move or basic breed characteristics as markings , mouth pigment , eyes color, hair I strictly sanction it.

Handler must be able to show a dog in best possible manner, I do not look how the dogs look like out of ring, important is how the dogs look like in the ring.
I do not look who is handler, owner or breeder of a dog in the ring.
Reading my descriptive list of the dog that is shown in my show ring, the owner can and must visually recognize his dog, only such a descriptive list is valid and just as it should be.

The one sentence i will never forget and it was out of this gentleman from the picture with me George Lonidis ,he says ” I  HAVE 35 YEARS JUDGING EXPERIANCE BEHIND MY SELF  AND I NEVER SOW OBSERVATION ON DOGS LIKE THIS ” good job.
In 2024 year i should be in Russia ,USA and Australia for judging.
