Every import or buying something overseas is risk in some way.
I have done export Rottweiler to USA many times so here some information what will make getting your dog process easier.

1. Search for seller.
First you must find from whom you would like to buy a dog.
A lot of scams is over there on world dog market, not only in Serbia.
Fraud can happen close to you, in your country too, so it is very important to check first what kind of person the seller “breeder “is.
Honestly speaking I don’t know what somebody can tell you about his import experience then you can relaxed.
If something bad happened to somebody and you ask him about his experience off course he will tell it was bad.  
As much as you think there bad sellers I assure you that there are bad buyers too.
People who don’t respect order of payment and procedures, then they are mad because something did not happened as should.
That kind of people will not tell you anything good for the breeder you asking about.
Actually he will tell you only how seller did not respect the deal and timing.
Second thing is a lot of people don’t want you import dog , they want you to buy from them, so here we are second reason for telling bad about some seller “ breeder “.
Breeders talk bad too about each other all the time just to sell their dog to you.
At the end all is about your intuition.

2.Payment
Payment is always what bother us.
Payment for the dog and shipping is always before you get the dog, up front 100%.
To Serbia the money can be sent using bank account, Western union, PayPal or MoneyGram.
>Money sent to bank account takes two to four working days to be on seller account.
One thing is very important here, before payment sender ‘’you’’ will have an option to write a reason why you sending the money.
The best reason is “sending money to the friend as help or gift”
Putting reason as “buying something’’ not protect you at all but make a lot of troubles to the receiver “seller’’.
The payment can be hold on check and the situation here is totally different for getting the money to be usable if the reason is “buying something”.

>Fastest way is Western U. and MoneyGram.
 Sometime security procedure take some time to check transferred amount.
It can happen that  form USA you can’t send money to Serbia under your name.
The transaction is marked as “risky transaction ‘’, even there is no reason for something like that.
So simply if this happened, just take the money back and somebody must send it for you, because in Western U. office they will not give you reasonable answer about “risky transaction”.
You also can do online Western Union transaction.
Even you finished payment and you get the slip with tracking number nothing is done until receiver pick up the money.

>PayPal transaction same as every other transaction have some rules.
Same situation is here too, reason for sending the money must be “sending to friend or family “.
Even you use PayPal “transaction in second “money is not usable right way.
The money must be transferred from seller PayPal account to the bank account and it takes two to five working days.
If you put that reason for sending money is “buying something “then PayPal can hold the payment up to 90 days.
In this case PayPal wait on you as buyer to get what u paid for and confirm that, then they will release the transaction.
There is some rules about amount you want to send, best option is few transactions about 1300 EUR each.
 I had problem when buyer sent 2000 EUR in once, so I must prove them that I am the owner of that PayPal account, it takes days.

3.Shipping of the dog.

Shipping of the dog is something what is not 100% up to us.
Air companies can cancel flight just like that.
Before everything the money must be sent and not just sent on time, but seller must get it on time, the money must be usable so then seller “breeder” can start with getting shipping reservation.
Requested things for flight reservation “full name, full address, phone number and email”.
For you shipping can organize seller “breeder” or you can by yourself contact shipping agency.
Let’s say that you want to import the dog and you have not done it never before, you can ask seller “breeder” to give you shipping agency contact or he can do it for you or the all job about shipping seller can help you with.
In this moment dogs from Serbia can be shipped on two ways “from Serbia handy care or cargo from EU states “.
Shipping from EU cargo you can get you two months old puppy and in this case you as buyer have to have an agent on same airport where the dog will be delivered.
Sometimes agent contact sender or “seller” can provide for you.
Dog’s travel documentation in moment when the dog enters the flight will be set to you.
In same time your duty is to call the agent and confirm that you are the one who will receive the dog on airport. This means that nobody else “son, mother, father or any sibling can’t pick the dog then only you”.
If you are not sure about this, if there is any reason that you are not sure can you pick the dog or no, you can give one more name and then the owner of the other name can pick the dog if you can’t.
There is a one thing you should tell to the agent when you do confirmation flight.
You paid the dog 700 USD that’s less you can, then taxes will be about 250 USD.
If the dog fly cargo from EU countries you must tell them that the dog coming from EU not from Serbia.
It is important from which place the dog will be entered on flight.
In other case is if the dog is handled by hand, that’s mean that somebody travel in same plane with the dog but still then the dog is in cargo place not with person on seat and like this you don’t need agent, the person who fly with dogs will take out the dog for you. “No need agent services, no need flight or receiver confirmation”.
In some cases small breed dog can be with transporter in cabin.
Some shipping agency can deliver the dog on your home address and it cost some extra money.
Sometime happened that the flight is canceled because of “too big snow in winter time or two hot in summer time ‘’.
You as buyer have to have patient, because procedure from sending money and making it usable, flight reservation and entering to the flight requires time and luck.
Only document the dog need for shipping is passport, but this is shipping agent job.
To register the dog in AKC “American Kennel Club “you need “export pedigree FCI “for this breeder “seller” need your full details.
Export pedigree can’t reach you with the dog sent by cargo the breeder must send it to you by post. But the dog handled by person in this case you can get export pedigree trough him.
